Mission Statement:  To facilitate communication between deaf and deaf/blind with their non-handicapped counterparts and to integrate them into society as much as possible.

About:  Adult-onset deaf/blindness is an area that has been long overlooked and services have been very limited and confined to small pockets of this nation, although the populous is vastly spread out and mostly not served. This population increases annually, especially as young adults leave the confines of the public school setting and have no other options left to them, but to go back home to a family who cannot communicate with them and they cannot assimilate into their forever-environment. The deaf and deaf/blind people in the United States are an aging population and are the majority of the need, yet receive the least amount of help.  As these people age, they find themselves to be more and more isolated, lonely and depressed even though they may be surrounded by people. As an area of great need, Handtalker, LLC is capable of communicating and teaching others to communicate with these isolated individuals.  It is our objective to facilitate socialization skills and environments/events to broaden their scope of interaction and become productive and communicative once again.
